The IP Regulation Board is a company limited by guarantee and comprises the Patent Regulation Board (PRB) and Trade Mark Regulation Board (TRB).  These Boards are the regulatory arms of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA), respectively, but operate independently from them.  CIPA and ITMA have delegated the exercise of their regulatory powers under the Legal Services Act 2007 to PRB and TRB respectively and charged them with exercising those functions independently and in the public interest.

This site does not ask for any personal information about you.  However, we may collect statistics about how many visits we receive, which browsers and operating systems are used and similar information.   Such aggregated information is used to assess overall usage and to improve the site but cannot be used to identify individual users.

We encourage owners of related website to link to any information on our site.   Permission is not needed provided proper acknowledgement is given.  However, as with all websites, we cannot guarantee that items of information will not be relocated within the site and so any specific hyperlinks may need to be checked from time to time.

You are welcome to copy and download information from the site for review, discussion, academic study and other legitimate non-commercial purposes.
