Legal Services Board

The Legal Services Board (LSB) regulates all the authorised regulators including IPReg.

The LSB approves:

  • the rules and regulations imposed by IPReg; and
  • the practice fees

The LSB is funded by a levy paid by all the authorised regulators and forms part of the practice fee.

The LSB consults with the regulators before issuing its own rules and regulations.

The LSB has recently issued rules and guidance on first tier complaints handling and full details are now published on the LSB website.

IPReg's response to the initial consultation can be downloaded here

The LSB website can be linked here and the Q and As from the LSB ABS Road show can be downloaded here.

The LSB Road Show presentation on ABSs can be downloaded here.
